WIP 10/06/2015

There hasn't been a lot of sewing going on here lately, but there has been some cutting. I am still torn on the Greek cross quilt. However, I am leaning towards adding a border after all. I am hoping to get the back for the snails trail quilt pieced this week.I have no idea how I am going to quilt it though.

In the meantime I have moved onto another project from the no progress list. The Classic Paint box quilt I started with the Bee Creative Bee.

These are the blocks that I have from the ladies of  Bee Creative and  Bee's helping bee's. Which means I have to make 52 more blocks to get the 80 I need to complete the quilt.

So far I have 8 blocks cut out......so there will be a lot more cutting in the near future..lol

Next weeks goal. Get all my cutting done

2015  Sewing Mission Statement
In order to try and get some UFO's done this year I am going to try and keep my current to do list small and just work on one thing at a time. I am going to try and not start anything "new" but instead take one thing off of my no progress list each month.

  1. Cutting can seem to take forever but it is well worth getting it out of the way. Whenever I "take a break" to sew on some of the project before it is all cut out, I always regret when I run out of pieces to sew. Plus it is always helpful to know if you have too little of a fabric or, if you are going to slip up while cutting, to know before it is too late to recover.

Your turquoise, fuschia, and leopard-y gold color combo has a rather exotic jeweled jungle feel to it. It make me think of Jasmine in the movie Aladdin.

  2. Those are some pretty strips you have cut out for your blocks. Nice compliment to the ones you received!

  3. Looks fabulous! I love having things cut up that I can just sit down and sew. Very fun colours.
