A Finish and a few more WIP
Yesterday I told you all that I had a big finish to reveal
Well Remember by Log Cabin quilt...it’s DONE!!!!!
I started this quilt back in 2009 when I took a learn to quilt log cabin class. As you all know I started to beat myself up about not being good enough to finish it and there it sat for about 3 and a half years all quilted and just waiting for the binding. Well I put on my big girl panties and finished the sucker!!! I am uber proud of myself!!
Since it is Wednesday I thought I would link up with WIP Wednesday
over at Freshly Pieced and @The Needle and Thread Network. Make sure you
hop on over there and see what everyone else is working on too.
My February to do
list
Complete Christmas table runner: Still
thinking on this one....
We bee learning group 1 Jen has us making string blocks. I have made these before, but not in the way she requested so can't wait to get a start on them!!

Your log cabin is fabulous. I love the colour choice. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! The quilt is amazing! Log cabin was one of the first patterns I ever did too. I just love it!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who always says " better done than perfect" I have come to use that motto often in many of my projects! And I think the log cabin is Very FINE!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of your cabin and congratulations on a big finish. A scribble meander would make a great pattern for your Bee quilt and love the bee fabric for the back.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your finish! It is darling. I think it is sad all it needed was the binding for so long! So good it is done now and can be enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteYour log cabin is amazing! I really like the play of light and dark. Looks fantastic. Great finish!
ReplyDeleteFabulous Finish!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your wonderful finish , love the log cabin!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the finish. Looks great
ReplyDeleteYay - a finish is always so satisfying!
ReplyDeleteWell done on your finish. I love the colours you used for this. I also think a meander, like in the orange fabric, would be a good quilting design for your Bee block quilt.
ReplyDeleteI really like the colors in your Log Cabin quilt. Yeah for you for finishing it.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeleteWe are our own worse critiques. I have begun to follow this philosophy: my quilts are made with love and kindness, not by a robot in factory. So please pardon the occasional mistake or mismatched seam. Isn't it great to get a UFO finished? I am working on my own list.
ReplyDeleteYou used wonderful colours for your log cabin, congrats on the finish!
