WIP 18/12/13

Oh my where did the last week go! I didn't get anywhere near what I wanted to get done done..what else is new, right...lol!
Mr. P got sent last minute to Pella, Iowa for training so we crammed in as much Christmas shopping/getting nursery ready and other honey-do list things in as we could. Really who gives a guy a week notice that he has to leave the county for a week one week before Christmas with a pregnant wife at home.

I am also still in a lot of pain which makes not having Mr.P at home difficult. I can't lift my legs so getting dressed is a challenge...lol I see my Dr today so hopefully he can offer some insights into the pain I have been having.

Okay I got off topis....LOL I did get one step closer to being finished with the baby quilt. I sewed all the rows together and squared it up. That resulted in a few 4 patches getting a little smaller, but it did help to make the quilt look A LOT less wonky. Last night I sewed on the borders and guess what.....after all my bellyaching I must say it didn't turn out too bad. Yes there are mistakes a plenty, but I can live with them. Thank you for all the support you have given me during this process, its been a challenge and a half!

Okay I should have smoothed it out more before I took the pic, but bending over with this belly isn't worth it..lol It's not quite as puckered in real life

I also started on my table runner. I know I am cutting it close, but I want to try and get it done. I am making a wonky star table runner. There is a great tutorial over at http://cathy-blueberrypatch.blogspot.ca/2013/11/wonky-wony-little-star-table-runner.html
I  have my my star colours picked.

But I cannot decided if I want to go with a golden fabric for the background

Or white?

  1. I am afraid I would have a hard time choosing between the white or the golden too! the golden makes it look woodsy and the while makes the reds and greens pop! How do the white and gold look on the table???

  2. The baby quilt is looking good. I'm so glad you're feeling happier about it. I hope the doc gets your pain sorted out quickly, that must be awful to have it all the time, and be pregnant at the same time.

  3. You really do have a full list there. I hope you get quite a few of them crossed off before the little one arrives. It's a darling quilt. As for pain? I can remember having problems walking with only one of my children and it's because he was sitting on a nerve and wouldn't move.

  4. See, this is why I disagree when people tell me being pregnant is natural. There's nothing natural about having your organs pushed around and a solid weight pressing on a nerve :)
Hope the pain eases up a bit before you're due. A friend of mine recently had the same problem and had it right up to giving birth.
