My day to play!
It is hard to believe it is fall already!!
For those of you who have been following my blog for a bit you may recall that I am trying to make a mini for each month of the year. I have known exactly what I wanted to make for Fall for some time now and this hop was the perfect reason to get my butt into gear and make it!!

I would have liked to make a few more blocks...However;
harvest time in the garden has trumped my quilting. They are calling for the possibility
of snow this week so I see a lot more time for quilting in the near future.
Okay now onto my block. It is 12.5 and appliqué.
I am not very good at drawing, but I had this image of a scarecrow
in my mind and tried to recreate it. This is my first time doing appliqué letters
and since I can read what it says I am pretty happy with the outcome..lol
I would like to thank our head cheerleader Madame Samm as
well as out leafy co-cheerleader Cherry for putting this hop on. It sure was
fun to take part!! I am so darn inspired and its only day two! I can’t wait to
see what everyone else has created and I sure hope you all keep hopping along with us for the next 8 days.
My fellow co hosts for today are:

ReplyDeleteMrs. Pickles-Your little scarecrow mini is very sweet. I also love your idea of making a mini for each month. Are you going to make a quilt with all of them? I have a big window in my home in which I display seasonal (cheater) quilts. They're a fair size, about the size of a crib quilt and the window glass was coated to prevent UV damage as one of our previous felines had skin cancer on his ears. He was a beautiful white neighborhood rescue kitty that we eventually kept indoors. From California, thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteMrs. Pickles - Very nice job with your first attempt with lettering. I love fall with the crispness in the air and I know winter is coming! I don't like hot weather and I live where there is lots and lots of days over 100 degrees. What a cute project! I'm more into pastels, so I've never done a "FALL" quilt! Now I may need to do that. My mother made me a scrappy Maple Leaf quilt and I love it. Thank you for taking the time to participate and share.
