Fighting Cabin Fever

I wrote this post on Tuesday with the intentions to link up to the cabin fever linky party, but it totally slipped my mind to hit publish or link up so I missed out on all the fun. I thought I would post my post anyhow. Right now we are in the middle of another cold snap here. With the windchill it feels like -40C. There were reports that we were going to hit -67C this week-end, but I don't think we are quite going to make that.....THANK GOD!!!

Okay now onto my original post :)

Here in cold and snowy Saskatchewan it seems like spring is never going to come. Last year we had a horrible March a cold and snowy April and believe it or not we still had snow in May!

In addition to that we had a cool spring and summer and winter came early yet again. So I can honestly say I have a good case of the cabin fever blues (as does our whole province!)

So what have I been doing to beat cabin fever....wellll

This winter I have been able to preoccupy myself with thoughts of the baby, getting the nursery ready and trying to get all the baby sewing projects done that I should have gotten done much earlier..lol
I am proud to say that everything is pretty well done and we are ready for the little one to show up. The only thing we really need to do is pick a name!

Here are a few pics of the nursery.

We started working on it on the end of 2013 and finished it all up by the end of January. It didn't take much work. My mom and Mr.P gave the walls a fresh coat of paint, Mr.P put in new flooring and ofcourse we bought furniture. The last piece was putting the decals on the walls and getting bedding. So its all ready for its new owner.

If you go back and look through my February WIP posts you can see some of the baby projects I was working on too.

So that is what I have been doing to stop going crazy with cabin fever.
The Olympics helped a lot too...Go CANADA..:)
