Wip 13/01/16

Happy 2016. I know I am a bit late to the party in wishing everyone a happy new year, but at least it isn't December 2016....lol you'll have to bear with the Christmas header for a bit more. I can't seem to change it on my iPad...oops

Christmas and New Years were happy occasions in our household this year. After mr. P spending Christmas in the ER last year and everyone having the flu for New Years we were overdue for a happy holiday season. I'll be honest it still isn't the same with out my dad around, this is our third Christmas without him. So even in the happiness our hearts were still heavy.

I have been bit by the sewing bug lately and have been itching to get back into the groove with my machine. Unfortunately my craft room still looks like this....

with the reorganization from our Reno still going on (aka finding space for the stuff we can't fit up stairs anymore downstairs) and trying to get the new nursery ready ( so far we've done nothing...lol however walls and flooring were done a few years ago ) this space might look like this for longer than I want.  It doesn't help that this pregnancy I'm so tired that when lil pickle naps I nap too....lol to make myself feel better about not being productive I tell myself that I better sleep while I can since in 9 weeks I won't be sleeping at all...lol

I do have hopes to get started on the new babies quilt soon. I bought these three flannel pieces from connecting threads and hope to make soon.  I'm not sure how well the flannel will hold up though. Will I regret using them?

I also bought this coffee themed fabric to make a mat to go under our espresso machine.

Hopefully I have more to report next week!

  2. Wash your flannels first - they tend to shrink. I've bought flannel thru CT and it has been very good quality and great to work with. We have all had that mess and seems everyone around blog land are doing re-orgs, so don't stress. Your sleep and health are of the most importance right now.

  5. Good luck with your tidying. Though if you are only a couple of months off new baby I would say go with sleep while you can!!!

  8. Renovations are such a pain but typically worth it in the end. I can't imagine it pregnant though! I hope the next 9 weeks fly by and if you don't get everything done, that's ok. There is always something that needs to be done.

The flannels are so cute! Love the argyle and zoo prints!
