WIP 11/12/13

Do you ever feel like a failure?
Well I do most of the time in fact and this week has been no exception. It has to do with the fact that I am too hard on myself and worry too much about what other people think. Nonetheless, I am all for self growth and learning from my mistakes so I am not afraid of  posting about a project that is going rather wonky...LOL

I am still working on my baby quilt. I know some of you are thinking "HOW LONG HAS SHE BEEN WORKING AT THIS" Well its been a couple of weeks and I know most people would have had it done in a day. But I am trying my best.

As you will recall from Friday's post things are not going as smoothly as I thought they would. I have all the squares sewed together to make 7 rows and now have the rows sewed in pairs. Unfortunately, not all the rows are the same length...lol I am going to sew everything together today and then just square it up and add on the borders. It wont be perfect, but it will be one step closer to being done...lol
One step closer to being done!!

  1. Sometimes, when a quilt doesn't go right, it can sit for a year in my house. It's cute!

  2. This is the one with the minky, right? It's not you, it's the fabric! I hate sewing anything stretchy. The colours are fun though and I'm sure you'll pull it all together really well in the end. Good luck!

  3. Don't be hard on yourself - it's the minky. Stretches like crazy.

  4. I agree with the comments about Minkee. I also want to say that in my book, finished is better than perfect.

  5. I think you were very brave to use Minkee ...I have not gotten that brave!! It will be all snuggly and warm, even if it is not perfect! Dont think the baby will notice :)

  6. Minky is a pain to sew on and takes lots of spray adhesive or stablizer. Don't be so hard on yourself! Looking at your list just wears me out, which is why I don't make a list of what I need to do, should have done, or hope to do. Putting it in writing would send me over the edge. LOL
