WIP 08/05/2012
I haven’t made it into the craft room since the surgery; however I did get a couple of blocks made last Thursday that I can show you today. I am slowly on the mend and keep thinking that I need to start sewing something, but it is only day 5. I think I should at least wait a good week before I start over doing it. At this point sitting and typing is just about too much so I should know my limits by now! However, typing this post has exceeded my limits....ouch...just don't tell anyone I am posting....shhhhh...lol
Today I am linking up with WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced and @The Needle and Thread Network. Make sure you hop on over there and see what everyone else is working on too.

it to her...lol
Wonky Bee block for Cherry- It is
currently in the mail crossing the border hopefully. It’s going to be wonky
circle appliqué I think!
International Stashers block for Shauna-
Raw edge circles...4 big ole blocks..This one scares me!!!
Red white and blue Blog hop – I know
one thing I am going to make for sure, but I would l like to make more than one
block...I don’t think it has to be quilted just a block so that works for
me...lol
June Mini- Still not sure what I want
to do that say JUNE....
Christmas QAL 2012- I was away when the
unit C instructions came out so I need to catch up on that before the 12th
when the next set of instructions comes out!!
Baby quilt-cut out, assemble, and quilt
Table runner- I have pieced this sucker
together. Now I just need to get the backing on and quilt it
Log cabin- put on binding
Log Cabin Christmas quilt – sandwich
and quilt
Sew Happy Geek QAL- Blocks 7,8,9,10,11 and 12 still need to be done
We Bee Learning group one Quilt- The
grey fabric for my sashing came in. Now I need to get to work
We bee Learning group 2 quilt- I am
suck on sashing or no sashing now...lol
May NEWFO- I bought a couple of kits
that I would like to try and at least start this month
2011 BOM- Since it is 2012 you can see
I am a bit behind on this one. I have Jan, Feb., March done. I just finished
April and I am working on May.
Halloween Wall Hanging- this was a kit
so everything is ready to be to start cutting and sewing
It’s not
much of a dent, but at least I have done 3 things off the list. I might try
cutting some fabric today and see how much my stitches and body complain.
However, I already know that is a dumb idea...lol
That is a very long May list of sewing! I hope you recover quickly from your surgery :)
ReplyDeleteWhew!! you are going to be busy this month. Don't want to rush after surgery. Thank you for stopping by to comment on my WIPs;I appreciate it...love your blocks so far.
ReplyDeleteYou will be ver busy in May but you've got some lovely projects on the list so it will be a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a list of fun projects..... I hope they are fun for you ...sounds like you need to pace yourself to get them all done and look after yourself at the same time..... good luck with your list and remember to have fun
ReplyDeletein stitches
Glad you are on the mend. I haven't sewn in almost 2 weeks too. I love your blocks, your sew happy geek QAL block looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks , a very long list so take it slow and easy and let your body heal from the surgery .
ReplyDeleteI always think I should recover a lot faster than I do, and by the sounds of things, you're the same. Take it easy. No one will mind if you don't post for a couple of weeks. Take it easy and look after yourself.
ReplyDeleteThe red, black and white block is my fav of the above. Am starting to think I need to do a quilt in those colours
I hope you're back in tip-top shape soon. (I really like Block 5!)
ReplyDeleteTake the time to heal - and perhaps use this forced break to plan your next projects? Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks! Take it easy though! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs P
