WIP 16/05/12

Well I must say, I seem to have a reoccurring theme going on this month of saying that I haven’t done much sewing. I guess I have a good excuse, but I must admit with everyday I am not able to sew something I am slowly not wanting to sew anything either. I am sure once I start again I won’t be able to stop...lol  I was able to cross one item off my list so at least its something!

Today I am linking up with WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced and @The Needle and Thread Network.  Make sure you hop on over there and see what everyone else is working on too.

Halloween Wall Hanging- this was a kit so everything is ready to be to start cutting and sewing

I am slowly getting things done. If I only work on one block a week for the bees i am in I will still get them done and in the mail by the end of the month. As for trying to work on projects for myself.....we'll see what happens

  4. Great Starflower block! I find that if I sew a little each day, it helps me get through the "blocks".

  5. Sometimes keeping with your monthly blocks is enough. Especially as the year gets busier with other things. I love that starflower block, will make someone a beautiful quilt!

  8. Well you managed to cross some things off your to-do list, which is more than I seem to have done for the last couple of weeks or so.

  9. I love that star, it is a block that always makes me smile. I am thinking you must be having a lot of time in the garden and that you will get back to more sewing eventually.

  10. Great block...
And I am in a similar pickle as you, I seem to be unable to motivate myself to sew anything, so yesterday, I grabbed my scrappy bits box and started to cut 3.5 inch squares and set a goal -- 1000 squares by the weekend!

  14. Our Canadian climate practically forces us into binge-living: during winter lots of sewing etc. and then in summer taking care of all the outdoor work and trying to soak up some sun. I sometimes trick myself into sewing during summer by telling myself that I'll only garden 'til autumn. Sometimes that works, and sometimes I can't scare myself. :-)
