WIP Wednesday
My first WIP is actually done, however I am including it anyhow..LOL I finally got the HST pinwheel finished yesterday and I think it turned out pretty darn great! My points are really really close to matching up and I didn’t even have to bring out the ole seam ripper once.
I also started working on my January block for the Wonky Bee that I am in. The package only arrived on Saturday so I am trying to get it finished ASAP so I can mail it back to her. I have all my background squares cut and now I just have to sew my triangles on. That is the scary part since I am afraid I am going to run out of triangle fabric...deep breaths and careful cutting will be the plan for this afternoon.
Current WIP or things that need to get done in February are
Weeks 3,4,5,6 of the Sew Happy Geek QAL – need to print off patterns
We Bee learning group one block for Shilo – fabric selected and pattern printed out
We Bee learning group two block for Danielle- fabric selected
Bee Creative 2012 block for Josie- fabric selected- pattern printed out
Wonky Bee block for Georgia - background fabric cut
Wonky bee Block for February – waiting for package to arrive in mail
International Stashes block for Katy- colour selected, fabric picked out
Valentines mini quilt – pattern drawn up just need to make it!
Baby Quilt – couldn’t find a charm pack I liked so I bought a quilt kit
Name Game Swap mini quilt – pattern finalized, need to pick colours
Log cabin quilt – machine sew on binding
Thanks for the chuckle. Hope you get your project finished. The downside to starch is that the whole quilt has to be washed then to get all that gunk out.
ReplyDeleteGlad you discovered the joys of starching! Your block looks perfect -- great job! Good luck with all those great projects!
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh with your starch story! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOhhh starch... i have such a love hate relationship with you!
ReplyDeleteStarch - love it though not thrilled with the brand I'm using. Nice job on the block!
ReplyDeleteI like the starch story too. You have been busy girl. Getting fabric cut and ready to just sit and sew is the way I like to do it.
ReplyDeleteI like the pinwheel block. I tried to make one but my points didn't match up. Need to talk it apart.......later. haha

ReplyDeletehahaha...all this starching I hear about is just scarry! I'm sticking with my walking foot and a pin. But sewing it wet?! Oh, lord I was laughing ....not at you! ... with you. A beautiful block in any case!
ReplyDeleteI finally got your blog where I can watch for updates! Yay.
Great block and I had to laugh about your starching experience!
