Ramblings

October seems to be going by quickly already! At least the weather here has been pretty nice. We are still getting highs in the 20sC and that is pretty rare for this time of the year. Who knows maybe we will have a long fall and an early spring! One can only wish

I have fallen behind on my canning once again. However, today I did make cabbage rolls. I used my last head of cabbage from the garden as well as some onions from the garden. This was my first time making cabbage rolls on my own. I usually just help my mom when she makes them, but I figured I would give it a try solo. I think they turned out great...there isn’t much to making them though so there wasn’t much that could go wrong.

Thanksgiving is this week-end here in Canada. My plan was to have the parents over for lunch on Sunday, but here they have gone and made other plans. Not sure what’s up with that. So Mr. Pickles and I will be dinning alone. That just means there will be more cabbage rolls and perogies for us!

I ended up getting some fabric for my birthday. Its neat getting fabric as a gift because you get something that you would have likely never picked out yourself. I love the colors and am now going to spend sometime online thinking about what i can turn it into!
